Bernie Spring has a BA and Ma from UBC. He has been in the book business since 1985 and had a store in Vancouver, BC. He was into Hidden Gems Bookstore on March 18th, 2011 and was a big success with large group of customers in for Free Appraisals on Books, Postcards, Photographs, Posters, and Music Sheets.

The Salmon Arm Folk Music Society is a non-profit charitable organization that presents year-round concerts as well as the Annual Roots and Blues Festival the third weekend every August.

"Beautiful, Casual, Down To Earth" describes our Shuswap area. This is a great site to learn all the things you can see and do in Salmon Arm and surrounding areas. What can we say-4 mountains; 4 'Arms' of the Lake; 4 distinct seasons; and 4 big areas of interest that Salmon Arm is becoming known for (besides all the wonderful recreational things to do):
-Sports-have had wonderful athletes coome out of the area in Basketball; Hockey; Skiing; Swimming; and Golf.
-Music-have wonderful musicians in the area as well as a dedicated Folk Music Society that sponsors musical concerts all year and the well known Annual Roots and Blues Festival.
-Artisans-this covers our wonderful live theatre groups and local artists.
-And, our local authors whose books sell well covering non-fiction to children's books, and more. The Shuswap Association of Writer's Group do well to promote our local writers and sponsor an annual festival in May.
